3 years ago I could never have imagined The Source would grow and serve so many in Visalia. Because of continued support from friends like you, this dream has become a reality. The Source is a second home for many LGBT+ people, their families, their allies, and supporters. In three short years, we have expanded from a small 2 room office and a handful of volunteers to over 1,800 square feet of space, 3 staff, 3 clinicians, 4 group fascilitators, 5 progams, and countless peer support groups. We continue to grow and grow and grow.
This year we trained over 230 clinicians and health care providers, helped over 2 dozen people living with HIV receive life-saving services and medication at no cost, and took 9 Leadership Academy Graduates to Ecuador on an international service trip. With your help, we can continue this work and do so much more.
I'm going Over The Edge for all of those who can't. HIV and AIDS took many of our loved ones from us. With education, testing, treatment, and advocacy I believe we can see an end to HIV and AIDS in my lifetime. I dedicate my rappel to the activists that fought for life-saving medications when the world wasn't listening, to the transgender girl who has been thrown out of her home and living on the street, to the parent who supports their queer kid with no support for themselves. You are The Source, and we are here for you!
